cooked clay objects, but it is a clay that makes whistling sounds.
Clay whistles were originally born as simple musical toys, with fascinating
shapes and colours, to make a din on the roads of the village and at the fairs,
but above all for the sound that "attracts good fortune and drives away
evil". |

Handicraft
production of whistles never stopped or declined in Tuscany, perhaps the
only case in Italy. They are distinguished in three types:
- with a cavity as harmonic case;
- "gurgling" when filled with water;
- in shape of animals, caricatures, etc.; |
